Agar Powder is a safe food additive. Also known as agar, agar or kanten, it is a pure natural polysaccharide colloid extracted from red algae in the ocean. Agar powder is a type of algin extracted from agar and other red algae. It is insoluble in cold water but soluble in hot water. It appears as a white solid powder with a yellowish tint.
